The Level of Care is used to determine whether a child needs full-time, part-time or hourly child care.

• If the child is not school age that child’s Level of Care is based on the caretaker’s allowable activity hours.
• If the child is attending any type of school (Headstart, preschool, elementary, etc), that child’s school schedule and caretaker's allowable activity schedule is needed to determine their Level of Care.
